Is Barack Obama a hero or villain? Now, first off, I am not a voter. I am unbiased of any any president there has been or ever will be. There has been a good deal of negative and positive comments of the new president elect Barack Obama. Barack Obama has shown his good points and bad points throughout his time in office. However, he is dealing with a great deal more than a great many of presidents before him. There have been recently news reports that come across the internet telling people of the new plans in which Obama have on the plate of plans. Here is a man that was dealt a bad hand coming into the election. From the McCain Palin campaign labeling Barack Obama as a terrorist to the neo-nazi kids who planned to kill the president on the day of inauguration, the president has shown that he is not easily distracted from his goals. This is a good trait for a president of the United States to have. However, the media likes to paint the new president as a villain of sorts. Also there is always other House and Senate members to consider in his decisions.

The newly organized G-20 summit has recently sparked much interest to the media and those of higher living standards. There are many people who have resorted to rioting in the streets of London to prevent this from even happening in fear that this will cripple the economy rather than help the economy. To this statement I have to say, “Get over it.” Barack Obama has only been in office for a little over 100 days and already people are infuriated over the wrong items. The economy has recovered slightly. However, there is a great deal more of healing that needs to happen before America and other countries can say that they are in the clear. This only shows that there are many people in the world who are looking for a quick fix. To label the president as a villain rather than a hero is to think with a closed mind. There are too many people in this world with closed minds. This is a normal human nature trait which prevents one to be taken in to such nonsense.

The logical side of ones brain allows the topic to continue and to see what it can learn from such a discussion. This is what separates humans from the animals. People in today’s society forget to use the logical part of the brain and want to automatically resort to the animal instinct of command and conquer. The question you need to ask yourself is, “Am I a closed mind individual or an opened minded individual?” You be your own judge. And if you are feeling whether or not to decide whether or not Barack Obama is a hero in our day, remember the slogan of today. “Yes We Can!”
